The Golden Disk Awards (Hangul: 골든 디스크 어워드) adalah sebuah acara penghargaan didirikan pada tahun 1986 yang disajikan setiap tahun oleh Asosiasi Industri Musik Korea untuk prestasi luar biasa dalam industri musik di Korea Selatan . Ini dijuluki sebagai Grammy Awards Korea.

Piala ini disebut "Statue of a Woman Playing a Reed Instrument" (Korean: 생황 부는 여인상) itu di design oleh professor Kim Soo-Hyun (Hangul: 김수현).

           Saat ini ada tujuh penghargaan yang tidak dibatasi oleh penghargaan genre, dan tiga yang masing-masing dalam Hip Hop , Rock ,dan Trot.

• Grand Prize (Disk Daesang) , i.e. Artist of the Year, is awarded to the performer of the best of the best full-length album from the "Records of the Year".
• Grand Prize in Digital Releasing is awarded to the performer of the best of the best full-length album, mini-album (extended play) or single (which was digital released), from the "Records of the Year in Digital Releasing".
• Records of the Year are awarded to the performers of top 5 full-length albums of the year.
• Records of the Year in Digital Releasing are awarded to the performers of top 5 full-length album, mini-albums (extended plays) or singles of the year (which was digital released).
• Record Producer of the Year is awarded to a record producer of the year.
• Hip Hop Record of the Year is awarded to the performer of the hip hop album of the year.
• Rock Record of the Year is awarded to the performer of the rock album of the year.
• Pop Record of the Year is awarded to the performer of the pop album of the year.
• Trot Record of the Year is awarded to the performer of the trot album of the year.
• Popularity Awards of the Year are awarded to the performers who gained popularity of the year.
• Newbie Awards of the Year are awarded to the newbie performers of the year.
• Special Award is awarded to the performer or the production team who gained popularity or outstanding achievement in miscellaneous topics of Korean music industry.
• Popular M/V of the Year are awarded to the Music Video who gained popularity of the year.

          Mnet Asian Music Awards (disingkat MAMA) adalah acara penghargaan musik di Korea Selatan yang disiarkan M.net setiap tahun, yang melibatkan partisipasi dari beberapa aktor dan penyanyi yang paling terkenal. The Seoul Music Awards adalah sebuah acara penghargaan didirikan pada tahun 1990 yang disajikan setiap tahun oleh Olahraga Seoul untuk prestasi luar biasa dalam industri musik di Korea Selatan. Para pemenang dipilih dari penyanyi yang telah merilis album sepanjang tahun, dikombinasikan dengan orang menilainya seluler 20 persen, 10 persen Sports Seoul popularitas jajak pendapat, 40 persen download digital dan penjualan album, dan skor 30 persen juri.

Categories

Ada delapan penghargaan yang tidak dibatasi oleh genre, dan tiga penghargaan yang masing-masing  trot, hip hop, R&B.

• Daesang Award (Grand Prize), or Artist of the Year is awarded to the best artist of the top 10 Bonsang winners by calculating album and digital sales with online vote and a final judgement by the judges of the award ceremony.
• Bonsang Awards (Main Prize) is awarded up to 10 best artists by calculating album and digital sales with online vote and a final judgement by the judges of the award ceremony.
• Record of the Year, or Best Album is awarded to the best full-length album.
• Record of the Year in Digital Release is awarded to the best single in digital release.
• New Artist Awards are awarded to new performers, usually three in each year.
• Performance Award is awarded to best live performer of the year.
• Trot Award is awarded to the performer of trot music.
• Hip Hop/Rap Award is awarded to the performer of Hip hop music/Rapping music.
• R&B/Ballad Award is awarded to the performer of the R&B/ballad music.
• OST Award is awarded to the performer of the Original Soundtrack (OST) from drama/movie/TV program.
• Popularity Awards are awarded to performers who gained popularity during the year, usually two in each year.
• Hallyu Special Award is awarded to the performer who gained popularity around the world during the year.
